Google Start Emailing Webmasters About Website Issues
You may or may not have heard about Google alerting you via email regarding site issues, but we got our first email today – not of any issue, just telling us they would send us an email if they had any issues! Check out the image below:

Personally I think this is definitely a step in the right direction, it’s crazy how many times we take over a client and find unactioned problems with the website in Webmaster Tools. I would have thought it might lead to a temporary improvement in the SEO industry as well, as site owners start getting told by Google that there is something wrong with their site, many will take note.
No doubt this is a prelude to the next round of link warnings, surely they’ll have been storing all those reconsideration requests and cross referencing everything to create a link warning mail out to end all link warnings! Still, with SEO’s still being able to profit from cleaning up other people’s mess it’s a win-win!

Next thing they need to do is email people saying they will send them emails when they are about to sneeze. And next thing Google needs to do after that is enter the psychics market 🙂

Over the past few months, it seems Google has contacted many webmasters about a variety of issues. I have heard quite a bit about it, which does open up new opportunities for SEO experts and web designers. It also cleans up the web and gives users a better overall experience, which is what the goal should be for all the players.

Giving site owners the ability to manually delete the bad backlinks to their website(s), would be [obviously] helpful.
The thousands of pounds I’ve spent trying to clear up bad links from old ‘Link Building Experts’ which cost thousands of pounds to build in the first place.

Google also says that these emails are all manual, which shows how much thought and effort they’ve put into getting in touch with webmasters. It’s a good step toward winning over the site owners again given the recent algorithm updates.

This is a good move in between webmasters and google. Great relationship to build to differentiate from other companies’ webmaster tools.

Fantastic website you have here but I was wondering if you knew
of any community forums that cover the same topics talked about here?
I’d really like to be a part of community where I can get responses from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Appreciate it!
