Ok I’m so 50/50 on this as a business man, I think it’s a smart move on the adcenter blog post they even listed loads of other analytics vendors and that marketplace is so crowded with GA having a clear lead and a justified lead at that.
But, from an Seo’s point of view it’s a big lose, ok adCenter Analytics was poor, sorry guys you know it was but it had promise and I hope that the promise I saw still lives in adcenter’s heart ;), for me it give an trusted option to offer clients data is so often given away cheaply !
and this year I’m speaking at so many more none seo events than ever before. and one question I get asked alot “do you think Google has too much data and is it healthy that they know how much traffic they send us when buying adwords?”
at the moment I trust Google to do the right thing for my customers and Google.
