Good find! We’re always trying to impress the important of populating alt tags to clients – perfect case in point

The Title Tags ain’t much better either, and their Keywords and Description meta tags are empty too. It’s a wonder they rank at all, or is it… Just goes to show how those things don’t matter so much these days as long as you have some good backlinks.

Bloody hell Dave, you got indexed and ranking quickly, take it that’s to do with the underscores?
Interesting find indeed, does that mean you could change the anchor text on your site that Google uses in Sitelinks to something with a better CTR?

This is a perfect way to persuade clients. On the other hand, I think it improves the website experience for the visually impaired. Thanks for posting.

Sites are powered by Red Dot CMS
Appears they have done it for a lot of thier sites, must be something to do with the content management system.
I guess ranking for No Alt Tag Specified is better than ranking for nothing!

This Web site has been around since December 2000. They barely have any inbound links and are receiving about 2000 unique visitors per month. Their page title needs to be optimized (only 29 characters) and they have no meta content. This company definitely needs help with SEO. Thanks for the post.
