I don’t think I have ever seen google in such a Bad shape for a major spamming attack in a long time.

with Google’s weight falling into only a few Key Signals, surely people will catch on very very Quickly.

Here are my favourites.

1) Use others Authority aka other search pages :
DaveN On weather.com
DaveN on Orange.co.uk

2) the redirect (not mine theirs) :

DaveN on archive.org

3) Just passing Authority into you network:

http://www.webstandards.org/ is a good starting point but there are loads of clean sites that just don’t have a clue

Well, but the results on those pages are with redirects so basically it won’t help you (at least not directly)

I saw some great examples of number one when doing some research on american real estate, the best thing was google was truncating the url so it wasn’t until you clicked the link even a search savvy individual like myself realised it was a redirect.

Search for “buy viagra” on Google right now shows the weather.com trick you posted about at #2 and #3. Apparently the blackhat guys follow you pretty close Dave.

So are you saying, you can get those search pages on the authority sites to rank for terms, or am I missing something?

    Dave,

thats just comes with the new algo, as they give so much attention to authority+trust, the algo is not flawless so people will keep finding holes and exploiting it .

Watch out for a serious of parasite/authority spamming coming up soon as spammers will find more and more websites with authorities like weather.com or archive.org where there is a place/way to post live links and get on top of the serps .

Even tough Google improved performance on its spam fiting algo’s, I think there is much work to be done in this domain… Indeed, the spammers will look for authority sites to put links on

This is pretty funny and pathetic. Just the fact that these pages are all internal search function results of these websites makes frown. Come on Google at least you can try not to index internal search results, let alone ones that are created for SPAM.

The recent changes in the algorithm caused a lot of spam only sites get nice rankings for competitive industries such as gambling… Sites like gamblingplanet.org who seem to rely on unrelated paid links seem to rank very well.

I used to think that black techniques are something one should avoid when promoting a site – but that was long time ago. Actually, I’m tired of seeing how others get their top 10s in Google while I’m trying to be honest (hell knows for whose sake) and lose my clients. Thanks a lot Dave – this info proves once again that I don’t do anything “extremely bad for the whole world” and am among those who strive to be business-oriented – not for Googlers but for me myself ))

We are talking about authority and trust, but if I remember those are very small on the large scale of factors involved. I find it’s easiest to just get all the easy things like keywords in title, anchor, then find high PR link backs. I know PR is associated with the authority and trust… Just seems strange.
