Why I love Danny Sullivan

Maybe love is a strong word and people will think I’m gay .. but after spending a few quality days with Danny at SES Sweden, I realise that we are so on the same page when it comes to search ..

Google Updates .. man this bites me so hard, I hate names like Florida, Bourbon and Jagger.. reason .. when did Florida update happen, what was the cause and effect ?, how bad was it ? .. anyone..? For a long time I have wanted Search Engines to announce and name updates .. something like Oct 2005 - cat 4 ( where cat 4 is the severity ). A cat 1 is a PR or IBL update.. cat 5 is a complete algo change .. also Google has many little updates .. sometimes 6 or 7 in one month and people miss these all the time .. until the final signal is launched

Yahoo .. they are no more Evil than Google .. so give them a break people, at least their 302 fix worked !!

World domination .. yep both Google and Yahoo want this .. and why shouldn’t they, if you owned a software company would you not want to be as big as Microsoft?

and finally welcome back to 1995 - 1997 .. the gloves are off again … Danny isn’t so cool about this, but me I’m over the bloody moon :)

I think that for few months now Yahoo! got
nothing to be ashamed off, In many [search-strings] I find their results better than G.

Categorizing updated (Chronological + *Severity*) isn’t a bad idea at all. !
Now that you openly declared your special *affection* :-)
to Danny maybe You can give it a rise.

I think that what we see these days are burps and farts. The interesting machinations happen within the digestive tract.
