I’m a Strikepoint addict and webmaster from Cardiff, Wales. Not much of an SEO, and if I was I’d be fairly whitehat. However, I really enjoy listening to all the WMR shows and have suddenly got a burgeoning RSS folder thanks to discovering webmaster radio and all you guys and your feeds.

I’ve been working on web stuff for Aunty, but will be voluntarily redundent from next week, and seeing if I can make my amateurish web publishing empire sustain me.

I’ve never used a NoFollow in my life. Nor will I.

Keep up the good work DaveN and the rest of WMR, the shows are the bollocks.

    Hey Dave

Meet you & the good folks at PissedCon6, along with SuzyUK, JetBoy, Mick G, et al. I used be in web design & cms, but my head went and I went back to property renovation and started up a garden design & landscaping company which is doing very nicely :)

Enjoy listening to you guys Greg, SEGuru, and that spammer Shoe$. It’s a nice way to keep in touch with an industry that I still find exciting but don’t operate in. I’d throw in a URL but there’s no link love! :(

Heh, I am a moderator over at SearchEngineForums.com, and a frequent poster at WMW, as well as at 3 or 4 other forums. I am right on the south coast in the UK.

Recommended reading by your mate Peter up in Chesterfield. Also took a look after Matt Cutts kept on rabbiting on about you on his blog.

I enjoyed the Site Clinic and Site ECG sessions at SES London a few weeks ago. Nothing gets past you guys. Great to see the spam site busted wide open for all to see. Those guys didn’t know what hit them.

  26. 26. Richardb | June 23rd 2006 @ 11:57 am

Whoops missed that spammer JasonD off the list! Sorry J

  28. 28. Ross | June 23rd 2006 @ 2:28 pm

I am a web designer and an amateur SEO from Leicester. I heard you talk at SES London and alot of what you said made a whole lot of sense to me so I hit your blog for more words of wisdom.

  29. 29. IrishWonder | June 23rd 2006 @ 2:53 pm

“Introduce yourself” DaveN style LOL - you sure are a master of increasing your blog’s comment count ;-) Well I’m an SEO whatever that means and I first heard about you and your blog from I think either Threadwatch or Aaron… can’t remember now

I do not remember the first time I read you DaveN, but it must have been at least a few years by now.

Like IrishWonder says, I don’t know where the link-bait was stronger, but I think it might have actually been over at Rand’s site that made me start to check your blog on a regular basis.

  32. 32. Ron | June 23rd 2006 @ 4:47 pm

Hey Dave, we met at PubCon London a couple of years back.
I’m from an Israeli Interactive Agency.

  35. 35. J-Weezy | June 23rd 2006 @ 8:31 pm

I began learning about SEO after I started making money through MySpace ( go ahead and laugh if you want ) lol

I went to SES in Chicago last December and sat in on all of your sessions and have read your blog ever since. Now I just spend my time making tons of cash with MySpace sites and hustlin’ ringtones!

  36. 36. andy | June 24th 2006 @ 3:29 am

I can’t remember who, but a blogger of SEO importance refused to give you a link saying that they didn’t want to support you. Faster than you can say reverse psychology, I went looking for your site. As a result, I’ve been a regular for the last 6 months.

  37. 37. Kris Farmer | June 24th 2006 @ 7:16 am

Pete from Brisbane Australia here. I work in online marketing and SEO.

I’ve been following your blog for a while and really enjoy (and get alot of benefit out of) listening to strikepoint and webmaster radio.

You and the guys from SEO Rockstars have given me so much great content and ideas, I can’t stress enough how valuable WMR has been for up to the minute info and techniques. (also appreciate your no bullshit approach)

We don’t have many SEO get togethers here in OZ so WMR and lots and lots of feeds is the next best thing.

    Hooroo from down under.

  81. 81. worst web design in shropshire | March 5th 2008 @ 9:34 pm

Yes, I am the worst web designer in Shropshire… because I am honest with my clients about SEO techniques. I need a doctor!

    My part time hobbies include:
    1. Flaming SEO companies who ring us up
    2. Sticking pins in an effigy of Matt Cutts
    3. Educating clients in the art of black-hat SEO

Yeah, it’s fun, but I’ve been doing this for nearly 20 years and all of a sudden every man and his monkey are SEO ‘experts’. I still can’t wait to see how hard it will be to get the new XXX domains a good SER. This is the biggest challenge yet… :O)
