I’m sick of the design and want to add more fun stuff, tools, services and upcoming projects.

So what do I do, My gut feeling is pull it all down re-design, re-structure and start again, 301 all the old urls, I love blogging and messing around but

I think it’s time I move certain sections into personal and work. I know I hate going to a work related blog only to find that they have blogged about pizza or their new car ;)

But the internet isn’t about gut feelings it’s about user’s, so what do you reckon.

Dave, you need a new design – kind of a bad boy, grunge look maybe. This design is too pretty, clean, and seobookish. ;) That’s not my impression of DaveN. I’d never imagine you as the pretty, clean, seobookish type. Would you? :D

I would go for a redesign and make more of the tools, maybe blog about how they work so new readers know about them.

I don’t mind the odd personal post.

    Dave,
I say go retro with the design. Take it back to web 0.0 with a big rotating, 3d @ sign for the logo.

I reckon you should also add a subscription based forum…

Not unless Pink is the new Black or something. I don’t keep up with fashion, so it’s possible that Pink would work for you, but nah…I just don’t see it. :)

What about a new slogan like the current one is top though

    “I rank daily”
    or
“A good Ranking in the morning sets me up for the day”

can we have less of the ranking please :)

I quite like not knowing what to expect when visiting – it’s a bit like a lucky bag – I might not understand everything, it can degenerate into school boy humour:0, but it’s usually entertaining and there is the occasional gem – but, yes, it could do with a bit of sprucing up.

Seriously, I dont mind how it is at the moment, I dont mind the odd influx of randomness, especially when its pics of your new car DaveN as it gives me an incentive to concentrate more on my online money making schemes!!

I like the content as it is, personal entries mingling with the professional ones. Maybe have three categories so people can choose:

    1. Personal
    2. Professional
    3. Both Personal and Professional

    “Ranking since 1999″ :)

Go for a simple redesign to make the site look a bit more like you, its named after you so it should reflect your personality.. at least a bit more dark.

Talk about whatever you want, its yourname.co.uk. Besides don’t you have some kinda shiny new corporate site?

I really like your site, but i agree with having fun sections and work section seperate.

Definately celebrate and display your tools better.
Thanks for the blogs, learnt lots.
