@kevin .. I had a professional there on the day as well, camera wise I have a :
Canon 60d with a EFS18-200mm lens and a 320es speedlite ( also used the EFS 10-22mm lens)

David Naylor 412 days ago
The EFS 18-200mm was key for me wide enough to get most shots with enough Zoom, The speedlite is just amazing for indoor use lens was around £375 and flash £175

Ah, thank you – I’ve been meaning to write an article for my hubbie (the photographer) on why people really need to hire a pro for your wedding – I may just link to you instead, because I think you covered it nicely
)
(My plan was to go along with him and shoot beside him, then put my efforts up against his. I was worried people would laugh too hard

http://www.thinkbigonline.com.au/Hi Dave, I enjoy your blog but have never commented. I laughed out loud at these photos and had to say the article is a truly great post. I have a Canon EOS 450d and everyone thinks I’m the next Annie Leibovitz. I was surfing the net for ideas — not these ideas but maybe kinda sorta these ideas. Trying to convince clients that social media is worth jumping into (the water is fine!). http://www.thinkbigonline.com.au/why-twitter-facebook-and-google-are-must-haves-in-your-seo-arsenal/ Thought your photo post was just a break from the research but actually my belly laugh will now be the anecdote at today’s client meet. Social media makes us feel something! Almost as much as Shelley Stafford was feeling when Adam pulled another mad face! Ha! Alisa
