Wassup WordPress Plugin
For my car valeting side line, i only get a small amount of traffic so using Google Analytics is over kill. I have been using the popular WordPress Plugin Wassup.
I really only need to check what keywords people come in on, anything else is a bonus. This is something Wassup does really well. You can show items by referrer from Search Engine, External link or even spider. You can also alter your time line to over 6 months.
Wassup also offers you varying other info such as a users IP address, WordPress username if associated with your blog, time and date they visited and pages viewed.
I’ve never seen any issues with Wassup, where as I know that VSTATS database can soon grow to a large file size resulting in slow page load times.
Anyway check out my video

http://officialmp3s.comWithout proper analytics how can you make proper informed decisions?

http://www.eve-online-fan.co.ukI would not say its a replacement for analytics. I for one will not stop using analytics as there is a lot more information available with GA as you know.
However when logging into a admin area on wordpress it is just nice to see a quick run down in a nice easy to follow format.

The only reason I don’t use Google Analytics is because it’s too much information for such a little site with small amount of traffic, all i need to know is if people are coming to my site for my keyword set.
Personally I don’t need to do anything fancy which is why i did a little post and video about wassup.

http://www.eve-online-fan.co.ukJust taken another look into this after installing yesterday. Very nice stats and as mentioned above very easy to follow. As Rory said this is great for small to medium sites.
I have analytics on my site as well but do not need to check them regularly so this is a nice plugin to have as i login to WP daily and its there.
Thanks again for sharing.

http://www.hudghton.co.uk/Just so you know, the video embed breaks this post in IE8 (and the front page of the blog too). Although if you did that on purpose to make me use another browser then fair enough
Thanks for the tip on the plugin anyway; not seen it before and it looks pretty neat.

http://www.the-fly-on-the-wall.comI see the plugin has not been updated for a year and it only shows compatible up to 2.8.3 and I am at 3.0.1
Just wondered if anyone has had any problems with it on the newer versions of wordpress.
