Viagra And Content Writers

Remember I did the BUY VIAGRA post a while ago, well I work in that industry for a client. Recently we sub-contracted some content work. The basic preamble was, here are the search terms, I need 400 words on each :

Terms where :

Ok, here is a sample of the Viagra Content we got back !!!!!

the highlighted areas are DUPE CONTENT…. they have 24hrs to fix this or I go on a one man Rage Campaign !
How often can I take VIAGRA?

For most patients, VIAGRA can be taken once a day, as needed. In patients taking certain protease inhibitors (like those for the treatment of HIV), it is recommended not to exceed a maximum single dose of 25 mg of VIAGRA in a 48-hour period.

Can I take VIAGRA if I have other conditions or am taking other medications?

VIAGRA has been proven to work safely for men with a wide variety of health issues. These include heart problems, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, prostate problems, and spinal injury.

VIAGRA can also be safely used with many other medicines, such as medicine for high blood pressure and depression.

If you take nitrate drugs, often used for chest pain (known as angina), don’t take VIAGRA.

Can I take VIAGRA with food and alcohol?

VIAGRA is just as effective with or without food and alcohol. To get the fastest response, try avoiding high-fat meals 2 hours before taking VIAGRA.

Btw Their site says :

Probably that Northern accent. Maybe you don’t understand yourself :)

    Hi Dave,

Include terms like “impotence” and “sildenafil” in both text and pages linking to it to make them more related to viagra. Especially Google will appreciate this type of relevance.

Maybe even me mentioning these words on your blog will make this post rank better.

    Good luck

I’ve also had serious problems with being sold duplicate content and even a supposedly copyright free image that turned out to be Corbis rights-managed image. We had to pay the £1000 for the single use of the image to avoid being taken to court. Apparently being lied to isn’t a good enough defense.

As a basic rule, be careful if you are sourcing work outside your own country. It will make it infinitely harder to get any recompense.

At least you spotted it before it became too serious.

Have a SEO competition - get some SEO newbies to write original articles and give an iPod or some crap for the “best”. ;)

Marketing Guy .. what fucks me off is I Paid for content which had this :
“You own full rights to the articles that you purchase and can use them as you see fit.”

and then we start appearing here :

    http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/43053/who_should_take_viagra.html

I paid for this in May and she uploads it Yesterday ..

Wonder what “associated content” are going to do when I DMCA them !

I’ve been burned the same way Dave and it’s frustrating. I’ve since found someone who does a decent job, likes the steady work, and is trustworthy.

    Let’s hope she doesn’t read this because she’s affordable too~! :)

Isn’t getting someone you don’t know to write 80 viagra articles the SEO equivilant of walking down the street with a “kick me” sign pasted on your ass?

We have a tool that all our content writers use, when they hit the submit it takes chunks and compares them in google. One way you can get cheaper content and see taht they are not shafting you.

I had this happen to me twice in the past. Now when I am going to buy articles I just order a couple at first to check the quality and how original they are and only if I am satisfied I order more.
Also, don’t trust copyscape completely, most writters can take a wikipedia article and just change it enough to pass the copyscape test but when a human reads it it is obvious that it has been copied. Copyscape is just the first line of defense, what I do is to google unique phrases and see if they come up on other sites, also check wikipedia for related articles, it seems to be the favorite source of “unique content” providers.

Max, WTF, we do too… how’d we fuck off that trade opportunity? ;-) Ours also has some decent organizational features for uploading and storing them… this works well for outsourced content dev.
