Here is a screen shot from a site that we have been split testing :

Hoodoo split test

You can see on the 27th July Something bad happened, or did it, what actually happened was we turned off the PPC to the site, we soon realised that Organic results V PPC driven results the landing pages have to be different, and has you can see we are getting the landing pages better on the Organic Side.

So the Tip is, set up you Split testing in 2 areas PPC and Organic that way you get the most out of you visitor

how about rewriting the snippets in the organic results to the ones you use in PPC , like you mentioned inthis post , provided you get better conversion in your PPC campaigns than in organic results .
