I’m going to try and make a post by only using the speech recognition that is bundled with the latest Microsoft Vista business.
So far so good, let’s test it with a few words to make guess it wouldn’t know things like Microsoft and centre, low Piss (and centre, low Piss = adcenter, oops).
What about google AdWords O that is impressive.
So far I have been speaking quite slowly and gonna start my speech than a bit quicker than seeing how we get on.
OK and speaks slowly and accurate I think the product works better if you speak slowly precise and take your time to construct the sentence before speaking, in fact this may be good thing to do in life in general.
I’ve use the keyboard ones in dictating this whole message to my computer when I first looked at speech recognition may be five years ago now it was very poor and you have to train it to understand what you were saying we have to say today that Microsoft may have a product that this even I’d take a little time with my accent there may be able to master so speaking quickly and clearly.
David Naylor. It even got my name right
Second attempt :

You obviously got the GPS version which knows yer from ooop north so is over-compensating for vowel sounds. They’re about to release the Newcastle version as we speak…
Lol very funny Mel Carson from Microsoft at centre,
But this is the first time I’ve use speech recognition, forge new.
David Naylor
better than your usual posts ;)
To be honest, I don’t know how you brits can use speech recognition with your cockney accents.
bwaaa hahaha…..man Im funny……
Let Calum give it a try. If it gets through that brogue without toasting the ram, that would be really impressive.
Definitely more understandable. ;)
Hey DaveN, looks like it has a problem pronouncing Matt Cutts = Matt Call Us..:)
Maybe it is your British accent, or Bill Gates does not recognize Matt…
Well I have to give this a try. I wonder if you could churn out good content faster with it given that I can type about as fast as I can think anyway..
If it works this good, people will be asking you to bring along your laptop so you can talk and Vista voice recognition can translate the DaveN Speak for everyone else on the fly :P
I wonder how it would get on with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9jqyZck-AU
I’m surprised it didn’t return “Matt Coots” and “Danny Soolivan.”
