seomoz - seo pricing

This is another great article from Rand , man I wish I could write like him,

Anyway Rand goes into great depth about the SEO industries pricing models from Hourly Consulting on Seo to the one I hate the most Pay for Traffic.

For me the when I look at taking on a client the thing I look at first are the what ifs.

what if the client gets to #1, can his business still offer the level of service, so many times I see companies move quickly into the top 10 and can’t provide the level of service they used to. these clients I either refer down or try to build a business model for them, where my pay scale moves with that company, I become more a business mentor than SEO and should get a fair package in return.

For large clients and start-ups, yes they can fall into the same group, I look for hunger to win and be number #1 in their industry, sometimes they start on small monthly retainers until I have proven my worth. and build has they become more sucessful

and Finally I know my skill levels are, I’m a success Business Man First with a few vested interests and a Organic SEO, but I have build a great Inhouse team around me.

but sometimes I do use external people that I trust, I work with :

Jenstar for monetizing sites
Link Building I use Authority Domains

we also do Split Testing, PPC, Keyword Research and Site Reviews as well has SEO training course if you want to know more about the company I run email Becky @ bronco.co.uk (sales pitch over) .. btw Rand’s pricing for the record we are Low End, Mid Range and High End depending on which services you need lol

    Hey Dave,

Though I am a regular at your blog, this is the first time I am posting a comment.

Nice post as usual, but one suggestion, if possible kindly remove the flash movie on the top right of your page.

It might get people to know how you look like but after that it’s quite distracting. Don’t know whether anyone has told you about this before or not.

Take care and keep posting such good stuff :-)

I see you have Saxo getting much more aggressive - I am sure they were from the High end column of pricing….

Working for a company whose clients are worth big money means the rewards for success should also be higher.

You are doing a great job - you are getting closer to me wearing the Saxo cap next conference!!!

Top article..! i’m quite new to SEO but have produced some good results. I have a few clients who i provide SEO to and its nice to benchmark prices as i think in the web business its the big quesstion “HOW MUCH DO I CHARGE”.. Thanks.

P.S. i didn’t find the movie distracting by the way..! (please don’t take that as an arse lick comment, i’m just quite an opinionated individual he he..!)
