Seomoz

I can’t tell if Rand has done this or someone else has, but these serps for SEOMOZ are really really bad. imo

check out Seomoz on google.co.uk

Screen Shot :

Seomoz

Ok he is my spin on this why I think it’s Bad,

1) Seomoz this is the snippet test, just to prove a point, I will blog about it once it kicks in :) Dave – Friday 3rd August

has great content and gives good advice, not many people will be knocking them
2) But having :

seomoz
dns-tools.domaintools.com/?q=www.seomoz.org&m=ping

seomoz
del.icio.us/search/?fr=del_icio_us&p=seomoz.org&type=all

seomoz
www.newsvine.com/_vine/search?q=seomoz&searchIn=x -

seomoz
jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=www.seomoz.org&usermedium=all

seomoz
tailrank.com/posts/find/?q=seomoz

actually does Seomoz a great in justice.

3) on the plus side if you had a site saying something bad about Seomoz, then it’s a master stroke

Looks like a pure Reputation Management play to me. Just covering their bases just in case maybe.

    Dave
I see they have the navigational extra links under their main spot.
Shoemoney had them a while ago and now i notice you too have them – I think it’s recent so congratulations !
Do we (when I say ‘we’ I mean is it ‘out’ I’m sure certain people know only too well ;) ) know exactly what triggers it ? Authority, traffic etc
I know one site that has them and is just PR3 and I know their traffic is not particularly heavy.

Anyway, congrats on getting them, they say ‘authority’ to me whenever I come across them in serps and I think layman think the same as well

PS, seeing tha Matt doesn’t have them would it be reasonable to guess site layout can influence it as well ?

Of course I am guessing the vast majority of their traffic is from type ins – at least in the SEO community.

    This post is the cause

    http://www.seomoz.org/blog/a-list-of-every-website-statistic-publicly-available

Add a couple scrapers later and you have rank. Doesn’t take much more than one good links with a few bad ones piled on to get a page ranking on an authority domain.

Hey Rand that would be a test, But I bet other have linked to one or more of those by now.. we could do a super secret test :)

But it’s still a Great example on how to RankBlock tailgaters unless they have authority like me.
