Ok Matt was asked about Nofollow recently at the Domain RoundTable 2008, and If I’m reading this write, what Jaan posted

Matt says nofollow is a “very simple thing”. Nofollow link doesn’t flow page rank, doesn’t flow anchor text. Link level to say “I trust this link but I don’t trust this link”. You don’t want to flow page rank through them if you don’t trust them. Real business 3-4% of your links will be stale, don’t worry don’t need nofollow. If check them at some point, willing to vouch for them, at some point checked them for quality, then don’t need to worry about nofollow. If just a domain directory, use no follow.. it is a matter of how much due diligence you put in.”

so Matt is it ok to email webmasters and say,

Dear Webmaster,

recently Matt Cutts said on Links “Nofollow link doesn’t flow page rank, doesn’t flow anchor text. Link level to say “I trust this link but I don’t trust this link”

So what I would like to offer you is, you to look at my site “———-” and you make the judgement call, I would be willing to pay you either away for the link “link information” or even the the “link information with Nofollow”, Obviously I feel that a link on your site will help me either way, obviously this “link information with Nofollow” means you don’t trust the site, and I would by surprised if you took me up on my offer lol..

Ok so Mel Carson has finished the London Marathon, way to go Mel. So I was looking for a new cause then I remembered Tomima Edmark’s blog. Her site was covered in SES NYC (the bouncing sports bra one hehehe). Anyway her website Herroom, which sells everything from panties by Calvin Klein to ladies shapewear by Spanx, also runs the Undies awards. Last year they got over 12000 votes , this year they have pledged to donate 25cents for each individual voter (up to 100,000 voters) to www.cervicalcancercampaign.org.

Once the voting process is complete the voter can click the Count Me In! And Tomina Donates 25cents. This isn’t just for you Seo Chicks, they have a Mens section too! So get over to the Undies Awards and vote and tell as many people has you can for this worthwhile cause.

Take this search term and think about it, 90% of those sites are just using my RSS to create more and more content of themselves, I even get things where people replace keywords in the text like seo and link them back to themselves. which is annoying.

so what can you do, most of these sites tend to run adsense, so a DMCA and email to request the adsense get banned will work.. or maybe push a load of porn terms or terms that we unknown Google hates and see if you can get the adsense banned, But what get’s my goat is when people use my content and sell links off it !! while running adsense, which brings me onto why the Hell does Google allow adsense on sites that sell links ?

surely this is an easy choice of Google, Ban the adsense accounts then it’s the webmasters choice sell links or get adsense money, which would you do ?

looks like someone is all upset with the SEO industry well conferences,

I don’t actually do Presentations very often but I do understand if you went to every conference out there you will see Dupes, it’s impossible to do a new Presentation for every show ( which are like every 2 weeks at the moment lol )

What’s worse is they couldn’t rank a new site for anything more competitive than “Mismatched Size 9 Argyle Socks in Downtown Peoria” if their lives

I tend to work with new start ups and large Corporations they both seem happy and both rank well.
