Tonight I was testing Mahalo to see how up to date it was with Uk politics, eg ex prime minister Tony Blair, new prime minister Gordon Brown.
First thing I noticed was that Gordon Brown and Gordon Brow returned the same fricking page,
Gordon Brow
Gordon Brown
You really want to sort out your dupe content as those 2 pages alone will cause you issues, god knows how many more there will be for misspellings - I certainly found a few.
But then I noticed the Ads by Google. On the Gordon Brown page I got Gordon Brown style Adsense, but on the Gordon Brow page I got a Prime Minister Brown advert which I thought was pretty amazing that the misspelling was actually pulling Prime Minister Brown ads, until I clicked on the Ads by Google link and I got Adsense for Search, TOS below from the page…
Program policies
The Google AdSense terms and conditions state that search queries must originate from individual human end users inputting data directly into a WebSearch box, and that search results should not be activated from a software application (including toolbars). If you feel that the search results page you landed on was arrived at in violation of these policies, or if you got to this page after doing a search on Google’s own site (www.google.com), please let us know. In addition, if you feel that the search results page you landed on was generated from a website associated with undesirable software (as described in our Software Principles), please let us know.
but even if I clicked a link from the Home Page on Mahalo to the Politics page, which in turn lead me to the Gordon Brown page, and never once did I put into the web search box Gordon Brown or any other search term to trigger Adsense for Search, I still get them. So I ask how come??
