SEO Turkey

Ok, I’m harping on again about SEO Reports my topic of the moment. A number of clients in recent weeks have required them for their new year’s SEO plans.

Having spent quite some time generating the reports DaveN looks through and explains to me some of the points need further details, in fact had I checked out the ranking deeply enough?

Id looked at the page titles and decided they needed cleaning up as they contained repeats and could be more relevant to the individual pages. I had however missed something very simple, that was the fact the sites pages ranked well for key terms already in there.

There were a number of product categories in the site which could be expanded out rather than changing existing page titles. Landing pages could be created for individual brands.

The moral of this story is check, double check and then check again. SEO reports for clients cannot be rushed, nor should they be. As SEO’s we have a responsibility to make the client’s web site perform.  Existing page ranks should be maintained if they are high enough….

I think its all to easy to get carried away in the Seo jargon and write a report that sounds good but in reality are not specific enough to the overall business objectives. Years of experience also count in these matters, as does thinking outside the box ( DAVEN)

This is true! If the keyterms in the titles already pull in visitors, do you change them? Are they attracting the right type of visitors? It’s a fine line and one that I’m not too sure about yet.

Testing and experimenting is the answer I suppose. As you say, check check and double check!
