SEO Services Economic Hope

06.01.09

The economic downturn means careful footing for us all. The climate is such that most companies will be feeling the financial pressure in all budgetary areas. A wise company will of course be thinking long term way beyond the cyclic phases of recession even if the currently the light at the end of the tunnel seems barely visible.  So what happens with SEO services ? Will marketing feature less?

Many I suspect will be lured by those offering “cheap seo services” top ranking guaranteed etc ; whilst others will employ their own in-house services to alleviate costs of outsourcing. Getting the right SEO advice is more crucial now than ever before, a strong website to promote products and continue making profits must now be a priority to all industries.

A competitive marketplace will always bring a challenge, but now the challenge is forced to be more prevalent a sense of urgency in focusing on continuous improvement within businesses in order to survive takes hold.

A good Seo Service will bring increased sales to your business, repeat sales  and increased profitability. SEO= Full profit potential.

Hola Dan - been thinking about this a lot myself lately and you’ve spurred me to blog about it.

Basically you’re spot on the money - this might be a turning point for SEO when it has to get more ‘corporate’. I hope not - I like wearing jeans to the office and basically goofing off ;-)

You should be jumping for joy. this is the biggest opportunity SEO/SEM has ever had. Business needs its’ marketing to be efficient and accountable. They need the biggest measurable bang for the buck possible. And that’s via the various online flavas. Them that goes for the cheap Cowboys always were going to do. you don’t want them as clients. The wise ones want a long term relationship with companies that bring them results. you always wanted those as clients and they want/need you even more right now.

I agree with the comments about the opportunity this economic down turn will bring to SEO/PPC industry. In times of hardship companies look to two things:

    1) cost cutting
    2) maximise return on advertising spend

cost cutting can be achieved by moving customers onto the online channel, whilst SEO/PPC are extremely measurable vs. traditional marketing activities.

There will of course be a slow down, but vs. other areas SEO/PPC will be in a pretty good position during, and coming out of the recession.
