SEO Jobs on Gumtree
Today I was looking to see if there was
a) any out of work SEO’s in this part of the country and
b) what other companies were re staffing in the recession,
but the amount of time I clicked on the adsense blocks really started to annoy the hell out of me which in turn made me ask the quetion
“Is the adsense blending totally wrong or absolutely spot on ?”, depending on which side of the fence you are on, it’s both.
Owning a company that manages PPC campaigns for clients I don’t want people like me clicking on advertisements for SEO companies when i’m looking at employing staff… that’s wasting my time and their budget.
But if I was a publisher I would want idiots like me happy clicking away as I research the jobs market place.
But which is right for the public? The person that is looking at start a career in SEO ending up being sold an SEO service which obviously he isn’t going to buy, the ads aren’t offering jobs or at least the ones I was clicking on didn’t.
is this Google getting it wrong or the people handling the PPC getting it wrong or is it just me getting it wrong lol..

http://www.tagza.comI think Adsense is mostly related to the content of the page. If you have used right search queries at Gumtree then it must have come up with relevant gumtree ads blended with Adsense ads.
I do agree adsense ads are not always 100% relevant to the content.

http://www.JenSense.comWell, if Gumtree was a regular publisher, they could lose their account for doing that, or at the very least, find ad serving turned off until they made the ads less blended. However, since they are a premium publisher, I guess using this kind of blending is considered a “perk”.

http://www.surfarama.comWhat Jenstar said. That grinds my gears a bit actually. I thought displaying ads like that with the images was against the Adense TOS. Certainly lots of publishers have been pinged for that in the past. It’s not on to have two sets of rules.

http://www.crystalclearideas.co.uk/block-paving.htmthey would get more clicks if they displayed 10 ads above the fold instead of just 5 with the job listings at the bottom
hehe…only joking Jen

http://www.seopositive.com/blogHi Dave N, and team,
Been a while since I have been on your blog, (sorry, been occupied). My view on these ads is that it is abit cheeky to have them displayed like this, and as Jenstar said, it looks like they are working from another set of rules to the rest of us. Also following on from Charles, I don’t think its fair that they do get another set of rules compared to the rest of us, however looking at it another way; I suppose I would give my top customers extra perks if i were earning the amounts Google are earning fro the ads of fthe gumtree websites.
Until Next time.
