When Roy over at chapter 42 tweeted About the @DaveN screen shot below :
It made me smile, three times actually
First because I did work quite hard to remove myself from the DaveN brand to the Dave Naylor and Bronco brand, but I guess it’s just to powerful a brand of the old school to let go
so I gave up on that.
Secondly it made me smile because either the guy or gal should have been following people like crazy to build up a following while pretending to be me then flip flopped at a later date
it that’s what I would have done, you see protecting your Online nic is a real pita you see I don’t know what the next big thing is going to be and I don’t have the time and energy to troll the internet protecting my brand.
Third smile came when I thought about Streko at New York SES not because he made me drink shots with him
but he mentioned a new service that he was working on http://knowem.com/ basically it will protect you and your brand on around 120 social networks he also promises me that they have a team adding new ones all the time! so it should be future prove

http://www.chapter42.comHA! i was utterly suprised seeing my pic in my feedreader
Thank you for mentioning.
My guess it that you can use nicknames for online purposes and besides that for you company stuff your full name, that’s works fine for me.
I’m wondering how many people still know Yoast from jdevalk
I’ll certainly take a look at knowem.com!

http://sayreonline.comMonitoring services are great for individuals and companies. It is always amazing to see what shows up once you start up the monitoring service as things you or the company never knew existed about them show up. I have had clients where legal documents come up that were not supposed to be released to the public but someone had hosted them on a private server that was being spidered by search engines. The internet is kind of the wild west today for people.
