http://www.ukgimp.co.uki buy home building and renovating and they are related to plotfinder. Their listing in the back of their magazine which they tout as being from their db is so shit and out of date, i almost feel like writing to them to complain.
It is like they are creating listings from old munged data.
utter shit.
the magazine is good though
you could try http://www.uklandsearch.com, dave i have username and sub if you are interested

http://www.plotfinder.netI’m very sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with the Plotfinder.net website. We take the feedback of our users very seriously and recently redesigned the site to reflect the comments and suggestions that we received from our visitors and subscribers.
The Plotfinder.net team work very hard to make sure that plots listed on the site are available and correct and work tirelessly to ensure that they contact all agents and private land owners within the site very regularly for updates.
The free demo on the new site gives visitors the opportunity to search within the live database for property that matches their requirements, so they can see before they buy, the type of property listed on the site.
The listings held within Homebuilding & Renovating magazine are indeed just a small sample taken from the live database, but as the magazines says ‘Details may now be out of date’ due to the production and printing times involved with publishing a magazine. So are really only intended to give people an idea of the type and price of property available in their area.
I am very happy to deal with comments regarding Plotfinder.net either via this blog or via the comments page on Plotfinder.net and would value suggestions, feedback or help with any problems encountered.

http://www.plotfinder.netPlotfinder.net now offers a one month subscription for only £10 this gives you the opportunity to try the service for a short time. We have many happy customers and are pleased with the quality of the properties that we have available on the website.
One of the unique benefits of Plotfinder.net is the number of Private sales available on the site, property that may not be available for sale anywhere else on the web.
I am very happy to deal with comments regarding Plotfinder.net either via this blog or via the comments page on Plotfinder.net and would value suggestions, feedback or I can offer help with any problems encountered.

I am also very annoyed with plotfinder. i have just paid for the 10 pounds one month subscription which i thought i would try out as I want to buy a building plot. After paying I discover that I still cant see any more details on the plots available than without the subscription. I am told I have to sign up for one year to get the full details. So what is the point of paying for one month subscription? It doesn’t give me anything at all or am I missing something?
Gill Dawson 270 days ago
http://www.plotfinder.netHi Lynda, I’m sorry that you have had problems seeing the full details of the Plotfinder listings, once you subscribe you should be able to see links to the agent or private seller who is selling the property, as well as further description and images, so it sounds like your log in hasn’t given you subscriber access.
If you call the Plotfinder.net Team on 01527 834428 they will be happy to help you get up and running with your subscriptions or use the Contact Us form on the site and someone will be happy to call you back.
The Team work very hard to add new listings to the site and check that property is still for sale and contains up to date information, so they are very keen to hear back from you if you have any problems or issues.
Kind regards,

It amazes me how plotfinder can make searching for suitable properties so difficult. Unless you know the exact geographical location you wish to buy the whole search set-up boarders on the commical.
I send a constructive email to them making suggestions (eg being able to search by plot size so you dont have to trawl though hundreds of postage size urban plots when you are looking for land in the countryside), but needless to say the email went unanswered.
Id be amazed even if the service was free, but the jokes on me for stumping up for a years membership on the back of a recommendation from homebuilding and renovation (which of course is a sister company).

http://www.shipmycar.co.ukNot tried plotfinder but there are some sites out there that list specific renovation / development properties / land and it is free to view properties, I think that’s the way it should be! e.g. http://www.developerdream.com
