Over the last few weeks on various blog’s I’ve noticed many commenting on others grammar or spelling. (Even mine, ohh the shame of it) Seems to me it’s all too easy to read through a post and pick as many holes in it as possible. Surely if the message is conveyed in such a way that most people understand what you are talking about nothing is lost in the odd spelling mistake or extra comma, etc.
I agree a spellchecker is a must have, but come on, lighten up those folks checking every word! SEO’s often share their thoughts and ideas just as they come into their head, keep this in mind next time you point out the next error.

So next time you get a clever person on your blog… just reply STFUGG, perhaps this will be a new internet word ;) Shut the f*** up Grammar Geek.

would you name you child anything like this, seriously Talula does the hula from hawaii… I nearly crash my car today with laughter when on Radio 1, there was a report about a child been ward of court in New Zealand, and the judge was getting all Pissy that she wouldn’t give her name, she just said call me “K”, the judge finally made her say “Talula does the hula from hawaii”… she is been allowed to change her name.. go figure

Twice now I have personally seen private conversations that Matt has had with webmasters appear on the net, personally I’m in two minds on this.

So this is good news for SEO’s that haven’t fucked Matt over by publishing private convos. It will do one of 2 things….one it will make Matt much more wary of helping or at least talking about spam issues with people that have outed him in the past, secondly it may even stop him trusting anyone new, either way this is bad for the SEO industry in General

What’s really really bad for the industry, is that Google is the most powerful provider of traffic, and yes I take shots at them all the time, but I will defend the people that work there, or have worked there, to the hilt people like Matt, Aaron, Evan, Maile, Amanda, Vanessa, Mike etc etc.. why because it’s just their Jobs / Careers that you are fucking about with. I have seen People get quoted for saying things that they didn’t, but still these people put themselves in the most vulnerable position possible talking to webmasters that would stab you in the back to get a few links!

Sorry Rand I know it’s no great loss, I think personally you have a great Team and I like you a lot but I don’t want that crap in my RSS.. people often ask me why I don’t actively participate in Forums, Personal attacks on my friends are my Achilles heal ..

Google Knol gets its debut. It’s about time Wikipedia had a competitor especially one that gives topic specific articles by leading experts. Monetisation looks key to the Knols too allowing authors to run ads with the articles and in addition high levels of prominence to the author. Such highlighting of authors is bound to get people noticed. Levels of success could be down to Knol working in conjunction with Wiki.
