The BBC reports that “Online shops are suffering the same fate as the High Street with fewer customers spending money.”  Yet in amongst all this our SEO clients are reporting good sales and higher profits.  Whilst its not possible of course for us to monitor every area of the marketplace we don’t subscribe to the somewhat doom and gloom forecast that the media portray.

Comparison websites like Kelkoo are seeing a rise in traffic as are those offering voucher discounts and money saving ideas, whatever the economic climate there will always be people who spend.

I’d like to ask this question: Is consumer confidence really that low at the moment ?

Recent developments such as the EU expanding online shoppers rights should inspire the consumer to spend too.
