It’s been around for a while, there are a few variations of it as well.

They have been running tests on this for a month or so (geo Spain). I have also seen versions with a single scroll button and the positioning on the bottom of the skyscraper.

Also to note, they don’t seem to be able to make up their mind if the Google plug should be with the (newer) logo or the (traditional) text format. I guess someone must be trying to work out if that makes CTR better or they ended up rotating them.

Yep, it’s been live for a while on our sites both US and AU. I wonder how much use it gets and what the ads at the end of the scroll are paying compared to the top ads and any second or third blocks on the page..

I’d imagine anything hidden by a scroll is going to have a hard time to get impressions – I know on the few occasions I click on an advert from a search if there’s nothing on the first page of AdWords, I’m not going to go hunting through pages 2 and beyond.

I starting noticing this format on 234 size spots about a month ago, but have yet come across it on the skyscrapers. (I’m in Canada.)
