No Google Phone

Thats right Google aren’t going to compete with Apple’s Iphone, Instead today they announce they are developing a open source OS and partnering with 34 Phone related companies,

well that will be cool if it has the Pull technology that Blackberry have, or the integration into my Desktop like Windows Mobile, and lets hope they keep it AD free like Blackberry and Windows ..

Apparently HTC are one of the main players aswell, I would love a decent open source OS on a HTC device. I have a love/hate relationship with my HTC TyTn it is incredibly functional but windows mobile sucks!

I like Qualcom Brew and Open Wave, but all this stuff runs on Lynix…
I think Google needs to partner with them, not try to reinvent the wheel…
Till today Google applications are a flop.

So Google needs to levrage its brand, not its software.

Google needs to tackle RIM so I can get rid of this darn trackball abomination Pearl I have. Anyone who comes up with a nice push network that runs on a decent phone would be a plus.

Android sounds like a great concept on paper, but who knows if it is particle.

that’s quite a smart move by google if you ask me, ’cause open source apps can be much better these days – just think about firefox… google’s creating the foundations for their future…
