New Google Analytics Look
We finally got access to the new Google Analytics today, so I’ve been having a play around.
The biggest change is the way it looks, mainly the menu system, also some reports seem to have disappeared – but I guess they may get re-added at sometime in the future.
The first thing you notice is the amount of space there is in the menu, leading us to believe we’re going to see a lot more stuff added in in the near future:

The next thing you notice is that you can create and customise new dashboards, I’ve created an SEO dashboard:

When you move to reports you’ll notice the side menu has changed somewhat:

There is also a handy little feature for picking date ranges, such as today, yesterday, last month. Sadly the biggest time saver would be “Last 12 months” but they haven’t included that… yet.

There’s a few other things, but nothing drastically different – there is a ton of bugs that need sorting out, I found myself stuck with looking at traffic from Madrid for all reports with no way of removing it!
Hopefully they’ll sort all the bugs out soon and maybe we’ll see something a little bit more special.

http://www.clubnetsearchmarketing.co.ukIt’s looking pretty neat, not checked it out myself yet but hope to soon. The SEO report looks a great idea.

Yeah might save some time – I think they restructured GA a lot so people would use custom reports more, it’s much easier to access now through the menu system and more prominent.

http://www.analyticsforjoomla.comI checked it out too. I love the new layout and dashboard. I’m missing the ‘email’ button. Hopefully they’ll add it later.

http://www.mergeweb.comI haven’t checked it out yet, but it does look like they are going to add a lot more in the top menu. At least I hope so. I definitely need to take some time and dive in.

http://www.clubnetsearchmarketing.co.ukI have yet to see an option to sign up for the new look GA David, are you aware of some criteria required to have this option available? Would love to check it out and we have had to pre-release invites to previous dashboards/features. Thanks
