My Google account is showing someone elses Adsense account

by

This totally freaked me out today, I was signed into my Gmail account and was going to check the adsense test we had been running, which isn’t connected to my Gmail account so I normally have to logout and sign in has Becky my wife ( it’s her account lol ), but to my surprise and of course total excitement my Google account entered straight into adsense.. even more excitement when it WAS NOT MY Account !!!

Not sure what to do really, they have only made $8, haha but I can edit he payee details lol

Dave that wouldn’t be my account by any chance? lol

Did you email the guy and tell him? I’d be raging.

Well since he hasn’t made a $100 yet (guessing) he’s not going to be getting to raged any time soon about the money.

This is more than a little disturbing. That Google Account login gadget is responsible for so many people’s most private data, let alone money in the bank like DaveN now has lol. All the more reason to diversify your private data between smaller, separated services.

That actually happened to me as well circa 8 months ago. It was somebody’s Gmail/iGoogle account. I looked him up and he was an orthodonist from Florida. Family man. The whole nine.

I thought about contacting him and informing him of this weird screw-up, but instead I did what any decent human being should do. I logged out of his account and went on with my day.

But yeah, it can give a guy the chills to know how easily or data and privacy can be compromised.

. When I opened my Google account I browzed around what I thought was free information about bizkit and something called Adsense. I wasn’t interested because I don’t have a business. A week later I checked my credit card account and discovered not only the small charge for opening the Google account but a $79.90 charge for “online bizkit (other)”. I’ve been trying to get this charge removed. It seems to have something to do with Adsense but none of the Adsense sites deal with cancelling an account that was never opened. The sites require account information – something I don’t have. When I try contacting Adsense directly I just get the same request for my account information. When I tried contacting Google, I got the same response.

    Anyone have a suggestion?

This is very interesting, I have seen first time. This type of problem not happen with me but I can guess that you should check your ad sense code or pub id.

This is scary stuff. You are honest but that can’t be said for some of the characters on-line. It has to be poor coding in adsense for something like this to happen.

I wonder if it would have let you update anything. Showing details is one thing but if it allowed updates too, that would be disastrous.
