More ad’s on London Hotels
Yesterday while looking in to my Google Crystal Ball. I checked out “London Hotels” and was surprised to see the check in box and prices, look at the London Hilton Park Lane, the prices lead to ad’s (I also noticed when I changed the dates at the top the hotel listings changed)
Personally I’m in two minds I like the fact that I can use Expedia and booking.com etc to book that hotel on-line, But I did get sent to the US versions of their sites so all the prices where in dollars I also feel sorry for the Hotels that used to have a Good Google maps listing and now they have to pay commission to expedia and the like …

What kill joys.
They’ve been putting what look like paid ads into the search bar’s suggest list today – http://149scam.com/index.php/2010/11/we-suggest-you-make-us/
It doesn’t show it here, but as the other suggestions changed below, the paid entry above did not, so I guess the CTR for that entry will be massive.
Maybe this is their reaction against the mechanical turk based shenanigans that’ve become the vogue of late?

http://www.canuckseo.comexact same display being used here in canuckland on google.ca…
try “toronto hotels” on g.ca….the blue triangular drop down also displays the booking prices too…
just IMHO, another google thrust into deeper more penetrating search…oh….wonder what that cost the vendors of same too?

http://www.cranialborborygmus.comhi David,
In your title and your text you say you searched for “London Hotels” but the search bar on your screen-capture-image says “Hotels London”… don’t know if that matters.
In any event, I searched for “London Hotels” here in California (US) and didn’t see any pricing info. Maybe it’s just a UK thing? Also, from your screen-capture, it looks like you might be “logged in” on google, and I’m not.

Was that while searching on Google maps? Or are you saying a default search result on the big G. showed that?
