These people must understand what SEO actually is. Well I don’t know what would they get with a reciprocal link for SEO purposes. Reciprocal links died long ago!
There are 1000s of so called SEOs who even don’t even know the meaning of organic links, and call themselves to be the “India’s #1 SEO”, what they do is build a network of their own sites and link to a particular site, for which they want to rank! This is not SEO, this is spamming. This may work today but as the search algorithm improves, I believe that it wil die soon. Once Andy Hagans said that!
SEO is an art which you learn by practicing, talking to people like Dave and applying on your websites.

the company has a nice blog – articles and a lot of other things to promote SEO rather than just reciprocal links.
once again, Dave if you are trying to achieve something by over smartly trying to demote a big company because of a small reason – for your own benefits. I do not think its a good idea.
And for Mr. Manish Pandey above – other than learning SEO techs. should also focus on his OWN abilities rather than “talking to people like dave” .. LOL

I’m afraid I don’t agree with you here. Unsolicited emails from Indian ‘SEOs’ are getting to be a real pain, whether they are requesting reciprocal links, offering outsourced services, or SEO or whatever, and if they don’t come across as credible they probably aren’t. A big company doesn’t always equal a good company. Personally I use one guy in India and no one else – he does PDF programming for me and was recommended by my best mate in Australia and he’s great. Without this sort of referral its too risky to decide whose good. Same with China I use web designers, developers and programmers over there who are proven and a known quantity to me all introduced through friends. Wouldn’t touch any of them for outsourcing SEO work though cause I know how they work and what they think works.
I can’t see Miracle Studios anywhere in the first couple of pages on Google or Yahoo at my end for ‘web design company’.

Considering the time required to do recips, the very small ( if any ) return on that time and the admitted “discounting” and possible harming of ranks based on excessive reciprocal linking, why a site would risk their pursuit of “Page Rank barrier of 7″ on such a outdated practice in unbelievable to me.
Now I know that many respected SEOs still advise recips to some degree. I like to take my cues from Matt and avoid the disappointments that so many face by forgetting the hints and clues dropped about what is to come.
