Let me first start with I’m a massive fan of Marissa, I have seen her speak once and briefly met her once, it’s not the fact that Marissa was employee number 20 in Google, it’s more the fact that she joined Google when it was only a search engine!

I guessing everyone in our industry can remember the similar hype when Carol Bartz was made CEO in 2009 and that didn’t turn out too well for Carol or Yahoo, but personally this feels different, this feel more like a sleeping search giant employing a key person from the Industry leader, I wonder how many other key people she will take with her?

Well done Marissa for making the leap and while pregnant, with a baby boy due on October 7th!
