Manchester Airport Parking

I tend to fly out of Manchester Airport these days and stay in the short stay parking at Terminal 3 or the short stay at Terminal 1, it’s Like £25 a day but at least my car is undercover and In a secure part of the airport…

well I parked in the short stay carpark on the 20th of last month, I was only away 1 night and when I came back one of the supporting box sections had rusted through and dropped a 1 foot lump of metal and crap on my BMW..

So the more expensive parking is not only safer due to vandalism, but safer because parts of the building won’t fall on your car.

I guess airports worldwide are equally bad these days.

    Ouch, how’s the car looking?

Damn that sucks real bad. I get paranoid about something walking past my car and check for any scratches. To come back to that on what is also a brand new car would drive me crazy. Would suck if you have to claim on your insurance rather than the parking place paying the costs.

Did you have to fork out? Or did they hit you with the old “Visitors park at their own risk?”. For £25 a day, I’d be kicking off a proper fuss.

It’s a BMW. A ton of crap falling on it can only help.

Thats a biatch, but looks more like crap rather than metal, so it looks like most of it will clean off, and you should be alrite.

I am sure it will be expensive to fix, so I hope the airport does pay up I had a very small bump and BMW charged £2,500 to fix it, it was a good job I was sat down even though I was not paying

Dying to know how your ‘negotiations’ are going with regards to the damage to your vehicle.

Ok the car is been repaired today, and the claim is in the hands on the insurance company. So this will be the acid test i guess on how good my insurance company is.

    Dave

Mind if I either link to this page or take some of the comments off it. I run a small airport parking comparison site called http://www.compare-airport-parking.co.uk.

Its nice to see some photographic evidence of problems as I always feel car parks should be seen in both good and bad views to let customers see for themselves and make an informed decision with that information.

Can you let me know, i’ve attached my email. £25 for a single day, I could have found a cheaper site for you.

    Andy
