When I was at Microsoft last week, I got chance to dig a little deeper into the “Fall Launch” .. one of the things was the search term Traffic
I have popped a really quick flash demo here For all the UK and Euro peeps that can see it.
Basically you type Traffic into the search box on Live.com which quicky does a reverse lookup on your IP address and shows you traffic data overlaid on Live Maps.

Holy cow – that looks awesome! I love the fact that it has planned events like basketball games on there as well as live events like accidents. This is the kind of thing which causes people to switch from google to live and is making live a real player in the search space!
Any idea when this might be hitting the UK?

LOL! It crashed my IE6 really good! C’mon MS… So close yet so far behind.

MikeL I tested and tested it, I can’t get it to crash lol … maybe you should catch up with MS and upgrade your old MS browser
