See you at SMX, it’s my first conference too

“Matt Cutts but fatter” does that mean I better not mention paid links to you ;)

I heard M.C was coming over undercover in a disguise so he could wait till people had a few beers then trick them into out-ing their paid links!

In previous years at SES, there were always several Google employees there, though not always people that you might previously have heard of before.

You’re not suggesting they send spies? Careless talk costs sites!

Heh. Just ask DaveN about what happened at the Site Review Clinic at the London 2005 SES.

Reviewing a site, that on the face of it looked good, and had a killer domain name, he suddenly came across some spammy links within the site, links designed to look like normal site navigation.

“”Uh oh. You had better make sure that there’s no one from Google sat in the back row, taking notes. Oh. Err. Hi, Adam (Lasnik)! Didn’t notice you sitting there in the back row …. taking notes.”"

    Bwahahahaahahaaahaa
