Inline links detectable has bought links
on Stikepoint last night Me and Mikkel, went head to head in a friendly debate which we still don’t quite agree on..
My point of view is simple, I can see any reason why I would go to this post on cheap keywords that I did on 2nd Aug 2007, and just add a link in this bit of text :
I was just reading Hitwise’s Blog, and was kinda amazed how much the travel sector dominated the the cheap searches, so off I went to where I get my keywords from to check it out, I honestly thought cheap xxxx insurance would have played a bigger part, and I was a little disappointed in Wordze this time around.
so that it read :

To me I just can’t see how google wouldn’t have a cached copy without links and compare. I mean it’s not rocket science is it..
am I wrong here, but I do feel I could if I did this

The whole reason this came up btw, I have often told people to search for the site or name and find people that have mentioned them but not linked, and just email them something like :
Hi I noticed you mention me / my site on your website, is there a reason why you didn’t link to me ?
or my personal favourite : ( create say 20 , 30 email addresses and email variations of this )
Hi just read you post on “their title” you mentioned site what the url ?
Hi your your post on “their title”, what’s Dave Naylor site URL ?
Hi I really like your site but hate it when you don’t link to the people you talk about, loie this one for example (link to the article)..
then follow up is a email from you, saying that people are complaining to you about your site and not linking

http://www.seo-factor.comI like your approach to getting sites to issue a proper link. I will be using this in the future, lol.
The only thing I fear with your thought about adding one link and being OK is that you are thinking logically. All too often, Google doesn’t.
