Microsoft have released the IE security patch download. Fixing a critical security flaw affecting millions of computers worldwide. Microsoft advise that the update is applied immediately. If automatic updates are enabled on your PC the patch will be applied automatically within a 24 hour period. Vulnerabilities have been found not just in IE7 but in addition Internet Explorer 6,IE 6 with service pack 1 and IE 5.01.
Microsoft have gone to great lengths to turnaround the patch in such a short time scale a true indication as to how critical the security flaw is, yet even with the patch available the emergency response is not yet over.
Potential vulnerability of IE leaves a big question mark in most users minds.

is there any indication from microsoft whether this patch is 100% effective if applied after the malware is on your computer?

oldmore I’m pretty sure that you would have to remove the malware and get it system cleaned up
