So Google are now filtering out copyrighted material over the next two months and aim to launch new technology in September to eliminate future disputes.
Companies now have to “alert” Google as to any potentially illegal videos which may violate copyright laws.
Viacom aren’t too pleased about 160,000 clips of programming being illegally uploaded to YouTube’s site and are pressing charges against Google.
It’s not so easy to manage such a large scale network of images and indeed deem who is infringing copyright and who isn’t.
