Spaces don’t count anymore add as many as you want or take them away it makes no difference :
Check this out.. these 3 daven SEO searches
search query 1, more spaces than you could ever want : query – query 2 – query 3
search query 2 no spaces, yep none at all : query 2
search query 3 a normal search query : query 3
I love little changes like this because in the confusion we can always wreak havoc and terror ~:P
some of my favourites : The FT and theft now this one makes sense when you search for the “The FT” we get theft results but not vice versa due to search data ![]()

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=patrickaltoft it’s not working for my name

Interesting! I wonder if the same goes for the words you choose at AdWords? I’ve been doing variations of model numbers with and without spaces. Following on from that logic, it works with dashes as well:
Could also have some implications with searches like Scunthorpe

Google confuses itself with my name, thinks I’ve spelt it wrong with spaces however takes you straight back to the same page!

This change is a pain in the arse. I have a specific search for something using initials and Google joins the letters all together and returns stuff as if the letters were a word. I can’t find the stuff I actually want to look at.

hmmm, for my name, all one word (which is my username all over the place) and s p a c e d out give the same results – with a win to my twitter profile- go twitter!
– but correct spacing gives a different, and more reasonable, result set.The difference between alloneword and correct spacing probably makes sense for me, given I use it as a username.

Dave was this some kind of “made you look!” joke?
Well you made me look, here is what google thinks:
sacred shield& yes, as you can see the results are totally different although I am fairly impressed at how I actually have ranking for the second. ^_^

Dann – yeah, but [sacredshield] gives the same results as [s a c r e d s h i e l d].

It worked when I used my name, but this didn’t work: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=i+n+t+e+r+n+e+t++m+a+r+k+e+t+i+n+g++e+x+p+e+r+t&btnG=Search
Although http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=internetmarketingexpert did but it gave the top 2 results as if you had searched for internet marketing expert
