First off, I revisited Google reader after spending a Few hours with Matt Cutts at the Recent SES San Jose, when he asked me when the last time I had actually looked at Google’s rss reader I had to say with a little embarrassment well around 1 month after launch I guess.
So off I went and signed into reader and Matt you where right it is a lot better than the old version in fact I was just about to make it my default rss Reader, but have you seen beta.bloglines.com .. That’s rocking if only you had made me look at reader earlier. .. tough choice now.

I am a Bloglines user, and I am playing around with the new beta. I am not sure I like the beta because it is a tad slower and it is harder to see which sites have new content.
I tried Google reader too about a month after they launched it but I liked Bloglines better.
I have really liked Google Reader, but one thing really bugs me. I don’t have the ability to subscribe to password protected feeds, which means I can’t use it to keep up to date on my Basecamp activity, most MySpace blogs, and a number of others I would really like to be able to subscribe to. I’m not sure if Bloglines has this ability or not, but if it did, I’d probably jump ship. Seems like an easy feature to implement.
Been using Google Reader for a few months. The Bloglines Beta has been getting my use the last few days. I think I’m migrating over to bloglines for keeps, or at least until the next google reader upgrade.
Netvibes is still the best in my book.
Yeah, I can’t subscribe to Basecamp in Bloglines. Note to other online readers, lunch has been served and is ready to be eaten. Opportunity is knocking. [Insert other euphemism for taking advantage of a golden chance here]
I think Spokeo looks and works better.
Do you know if anyone ahs sorted out Intregating Basecamp with Daylite yet?
I 2nd Terry on the lack of secure feed support being the main thing holding me back from making the change and I know of at least 5 other RSS fiends that feel the same way.
Google should really sort this out as it seems like quite a basic feature and one that early adopters would be more likely to use…
[…] see, what else? Oh, DaveN hadn’t tried Google Reader since it turned kick-ass; I almost pulled him away from Bloglines until Ask rolled out a new beta version of Bloglines. And as long as I’m giving kudos to […]
I have been using google reader and enjoy it. Sure there could be some improvements and I’m sure they are in the works.
I prefer Google Reader as everything I do now days seems to revolve around Google.
