Look how nicely designed it is – and they ask if you’ve followed a broken link from another site, and encourage you to let them know if so – that way they can get in touch with the owner and get them to update their link. Simple, but clever.

I agree with Becky. I too liked http://www.beckynaylor.co.uk/404. Good one! But can reduce the text a little I guess. Just my opinion! Please don’t mind!

“The page you are looking for does not currently exist. It might have in the past, but it doesn’t anymore. Believe me, we’ve looked for it – everywhere – and we still can’t find it. We have even checked that place where socks disappear to after you put them into your laundry cycle – and it’s not there either.”

http://www.scentmagic.netI like the new Google 404 – it can be mind-numbing enough to surf the web – any comic relief or personalized customer service inflection always gets my attention. Now they’ve got me thinking maybe I need a personalized 404!
