Google Future - Contextual

Let’s face it Google advertising for businesses on the whole has been a huge success, their dominance in the market place can hardly be ignored and as a company their aquisitions get greater each week.

Personally, I feel that contextual advertising is the direction search is taking.  I’m not just talking adsense here, I am talking major advances in technology that feeds the user direct content which companies will pay to Google to distribute. Beyond pop-ups and keyword focus dynamically appearing content will rule the day.

Google News will surely have to play its part in the process too. No longer will it just be a  PR mechanism, the possibilities of monetizing this portal are endless…

The contextual advertising is better than pop-ups advertising, it will not disturb the visitor. The contextual content is just like real content from the website. If i interest with the topic , i may click the ad to see the page. They should focus on better match of the keywords, so they can display the right ad which related to this page.

I agree with Xianhong. If the ads will get more and more relevant, and they may offer me a service I will be interested in then I will be more likely to click it.

This could mean increased revenue for adsense users as well, or Google may adjust their pricing if the CTR increases substantially.
