Nah, nothing stupid! Our clients get them all the time, we not sure whether it’s triggered by spend or just a random thing. It’s even more weird when you get your own Google Employee to talk to…

Got one of those last November for a UK account. We’d just increased spend, so I expect the two are linked.

A while back, some guy over on Adwords Google Group answered one of my posts with Adwords phone number. Now I tried looking for that number but the entire thread is gone, nowhere to be found. Yeah, that’s not too surprising, but the gmail I received containing that phone number poofed too. Go figure.

I have been running a large adwords account for a while now with over 30 clients and I have always had my own google ad rep to contact, With larger accounts it seems to be the norm

I don’t want to talk to an AdWords person, they’ll just scold me for all the naughty things I do that aren’t in the TOS.

It’s been offered to people who spend a certain amount of money with Google for quite a while.
Actually, after another point you get various specialist contacts. We’ve got a strategic advisor, an account manager and a technical contact… the service and advice they offer is actually pretty good and worth taking advantage of - especially as AdWords is piling on new features all the time at the minute.

It’s handy for getting ads approved pronto for the content/search network just before weekends/bank holidays etc.

Tetsuto,
I think the phone number you lost is available here.
Let me know if that one does not work anymore. I never called it myself, since Google will not maintain campaigns for me nor do keyword research or adjust the “score” or my ads that I have to pay less per click. So..what’s the point
Not to mention the awkward feeling if you talk to them about your stuff. Its like talking to the cops after they stop you with 75 mph on the freeway and you remember how you were going 100 mph just a couple minutes earlier before they got you

I’ve been calling the AdWords folks in the US for a few years now, they’ve had a phone number where you can talk to someone for quite some time now.
I’m not sure if you have to get to a certain level (ad spend per month) in order to get an email with the phone number or not.

I have just started to market my website and to be honest instructions you get from people are way over my head, like:
Promote your site in three easy to follow steps. You fill a form in and then they say you have to put a code they have generated into the root directory of your site. Great whats a root directory?
