So I was reading on seoroundtable that Gmail was hacked, and I laughed until I thought about my Gmail account and how Google made me merge my Adsense and Adwords accounts into that login,
so I though quick check log into Gmail and Check, and I saw this :
Google AdSense: Payment Details Updated !!! What the Fuck !
We are sending this email to let you know that on 01 August 2007,
NOTMYGMAIL@gmail.com changed the form of payment associated with your
AdSense account. If you have any questions about this change, please
contact NOTMYGMAIL@gmail.com directly.
Then I clicked on the more info and the BCC ( btw google thats Blind Carbon Copy) there are 4 more email addresses all linked to My ADWORDS ACCOUNT, So what the fuck is going on.
1) I get an email saying that Google AdSense: Payment Details Updated : which I didn’t do !
2) Gmail BCC actually showed me that my Adsense account details where sent to all the people in my, My Client Centre in adwords, thats not fucking cool, because now my clients no what other clients I’m doing PPC for
3) It wasn’t My Adsense account… Hooray, but why is google sending me the data !!
So is there anyway I can stop this from happening !!

Google should REALLY make both Adwords and Adsense have their own separate passwords. I used to have Adsense on one account and all my other stuff on another. I recently merged, but I think it’s time to go back to separate.

I know you have been talking about this issue for over a year now. I wish Google would have listened to you back then about splitting up the passwords.

Can’t believe it. This is one of the things I’ve never even thought about, as I dismissed this option as simply “impossible”. But it seems nothing is impossible.

I cannot understand how a company worth approximately $200 billion USD, can be so careless. My email was hacked a week ago, only after I increased my gmail storage. And, of course Google charged for the increased storage. Yet, there is NO WAY to reach them by phone to stop the bleeding that I feel.
It is my belief that the only people who can change Google…is us. We can send this information all over the internet…have people just use another search engine, and stop storing information on gmail. It is a simple solution to bring the 800 pound gorilla on the block to it’s knees.
So, let’s just keep after Google, until the $200 billion company is bankrupt. Then I will be happy.
