It’s got to that time of year in the UK again where weather wise it’s almost impossible to predict what’s going to happen. So climate change is the key issue then, meanwhile we have the government rather belatedly pushing Carbon Neutral.
If we go back about 18,000 years then most of planet earth was frozen and arid wasteland but now thanks to Global Warming we have forests beautiful areas of grasslands, woodlands.
Basically what I’m saying is there seems to be too much hype associated with “Global Warming” and it’s a readily used phrase to describe any change in weather that we have.
Antarctica (southern pole) will always be pulling us back to the glacial ice ages.
So was it a cataclysmic asteroid collision or Global Warming that stamped out life many years ago?
I doubt somehow that dinosaurs were speculating if Easy Jet was threatening their existence or the new BMW range was likely to impair their quality of life.
“Researchers pound the global-warming drum because they know there is politics and, therefore, money behind it. . . I’ve been critical of global warming and am persona non grata.”
Dr. William Gray

If you want a hype free view of the global warming debate I’d recommend you check out realclimate.org. A great accessible site written by climate scientists which cuts through the political stuff and gets down to the science.
Thanks Jack
Aftergone through this blog i am very impressed. But I am also write some information about Global Warming.
I am a regular reader of your article. And I am very impress with your blog upon Global Warming. Now I am also write a blog upon Global Warming. This blog is collection of news & reviews like the study found that global warming since 1985 has been caused neither by an increase in solar radiation nor by a decrease in the flux of galactic cosmic rays. Some researchers had also suggested that the latter might influence global warming because the rays trigger cloud formation.
Everything in the world is give and take.
We are by nature a race of takers…….it dont work in the long run.
Basic sense tells me we need to be careful what we play with…….so we have to start being nicer to this world as we aint got another one to mess up
If I had never heard about global warming in the news or media, I would have figured out that it is definitely happening based on my own observations. Growing up in Arizona, we have a little ski area that I had a season pass for every year. It wasn’t a gamble back then as to if the resort would open or not. Every year, sure enough, the snow would come and it would open. This was in the 70’s and 80’s. Now, it opens maybe every other year, and if it does, only for a very short period of time. There are some years that go completely dry. There is no debate for me as to if it is happening - what the implications are remain to be seen…
