So I create a few Free Wordpress Themes, let say 10 add a bit of copy say ..
Welcome to Free Wordpress Themes I decided to create a set of 10 Free Wordpress themes and the terms are. they are 100% free wordpress themes for personal or commercial use, You don’t have to pay me a penny in fact you don’t have to pay anyone a penny. they are totally ready to use with Wordpress 2.5. Just install and go! ….
I think I got the fact that they where free, so the foot links should be good, well I could always included a license in the download and edit the rss output and pingback etc ;)
but free wordpress themes is quite a competitive term I guess, unless I PPC
| wordpress themes |
|
$0.35 - $0.47 | 1 - 3 | 183 - 231 | $70 - $110 |
until it ranks for that term then just keep changing the footer links ..
so for should I build 10 kick arse awesome and Free Wordpress templates ? or would Google just fuck me over :(

I can help.
… If we are able to cage the lions, why should we allow them to be on the loose? Let me send u an article for posting - it would interest a lot of readers, for sure
If you were a designer and wanted business from tweaking the themes or designing custom themes, giving away a free sample might bring you some business even if the footer links were nofollowed.
Hawaii SEO we are a design agency as well
A few Matts have weighed in on this topic, at least the issue of “sponsored” themes. So I assume one needs to offer “free” as in beer themes, but frankly I haven’t examined the details. For those who want to,

A quick note, slightly OT, to mention that there should be a european WordPress barcamp in lovely Milano, this May 10th:

Word has it that the Matt M. will be there:

Morning Dave - pity you can’t work this magic and get Leeds to the top, save a lot of hassle :)
Dave, if you are promoting your own services its not really a paid link which is the real problem.
