Foot and Mouth Outbreak
So it’s just been reported on the UK news that foot and mouth may well be back in the UK.
Surely you would have thought lessons would have been learnt last time around?
Movement of livestock will doubtless be prevented and the usual scenario of disinfectant with farms being affected in no place near the event or perhaps the blaming of air borne bacteria?
How will google deal with the reporting this time I wonder ?
Last bit of news from them on the subject was that foot and mouth was easing here:

I hope that the government has both the physical resources and financial plans in place to help those who are bound to be affected.

Dam you English, can’t you fix your feet and mouths!
And I was thinking of flying to you all the way from Japan to get pissed together…
Now I will have to order my Johnny Walker from Amazon and drink it with my buddies in Asia…
So please fix your cows, so the rest of the world can visit your fuggy islands.

http://www.davidnaylor.co.ukIgor, We live in a part of England, that relies on farming, The farming industry is only just recovering from the Foot and Mouth Outbreak of 2001, where we had to slaughter Millions NON-Infected Cattle.. Not A Joking matter.

Dave I do know the influence of the animal decease on economy!
In Japan we are affected by BSE for American beef.
Our beef prices have doubled and even tripled in the last 5 years or so because Japanese government refuses to import American beef.
Also when I lived in Thailand the chicken flue really had a bad influence on economy and we did not eat chicken for a while.
I am sorry if I made light of foot and mouth disease. It was not the disease I was making light of but the words, being I am not a native English speaker, the words sounded funny.
No disrespect intended.

http://www.boydofayrshire.comYeah Dave, Lets hope it doesn’t spread. I live in the Ayrshire country side, a place well known for cows. And travel to Glasgow everyday to work. If the same restrictions come into place as last time I’ll be telecommuting for a while, which isn’t ideal.

http://www.bronco.co.ukFarmers are struggling as it is and many work the farm with no profits at all. Infact some at a loss.
Often the scenario is that the farms have been in the family for many years with little incentives for them to carry on and with the government always keen to point the finger of blame at their doorstep it’s hardly surprising.
Imagine working 24/7 with no return at the end of it,,of course now it’s the farmers faults for the floods…which in turn has spread the foot and mouth, are we really supposed to believe that?
