I love firefox and i use it every day but this sort of thing makes me mad !
OK,, Home truth time …
IE never had the massive memory issues that Firefox has
IE never got my IP address Banned in Google ( a Firefox plugin did ! )
IE never gave my Adword/Gmail Password ( a Firefox plugin did ! )
IE never crashed so bad that I had to reinstall Vista ( a Firefox backup did ! )
So will I still use Firefox, hell yer I love the browser just hate the fact that it’s using stupid marketing techinques

That’s deep when FF destroys an operating system! The memory system is a pain in the ass, have to restart FF about 3 times a day but I love it so

“IE crashed so bad that I had to reinstall Vista ( a Firefox backup did ! )”
Is that meant to say IE *never* crashed so bad?
I don’t think you can blame FF when you install third party addons….

I use FF daily also, and have to shut it down 4 or 5 times a day because of the memory issues. Try using Pandora, it will cripple your PC in about 40 minutes, if that long.
At the end of the day, sorry but it is still just a @#$#$ browser, not like it is going to get me a babe on each arm.
IE, FF or Opera, who cares, show me the damn webpage and move on.18th June 2008 @ 12:05

I hear you Dave, I had to reinstall Vista 3 weeks ago thanks to the Firefox just going completely screwy (it could have been vista, but the issues started after I upgraded Firefox the last time)

Some things for you to realize. One, the firefox memory leak is not a bug, its a feature. Its how data is cached so pages will load faster. You can disable this. Two, your problems with the plugins are the plugins fault - dont blame firefox. You take the risk when you install a plugin and it is your fault if something bad happens. Three - It crashed vista. Totally not surprised there.
Lastly, Ive been using firefox 3 since RC1 came out. Ive had very few crashes, and in RC3 Ive had no crashes at all. Memory has never been a problem for me. (Also: on XP)

Can someone please tell me why FF3 is more crashing than FF 2??? And why the hell it is not coming up after I have removed .parentlock and other lock files including some sqlite files? I don’t want to reinstall all my extensions after FF 3 crashes….
I really hate here FF!17th August 2008 @ 19:05

Just curious… which Firefox plugin gave out your AdWord/Gmail password?
