Please note that the account settings for EmpireDirect.co.uk have been amended. Due to the success of our in house PPC work, from 1st December 08, direct linking by PPC affiliates will no longer be permitted.
hmmm ..
a) Does that mean that the comparison sites that sometime just bounce thou, we have to remove your products that we drive PPC traffic via, or just bounce to digital direct instead ..
b) If the Empire Direct inhouse is so awesome, why are the affiliates bidding in areas that you aren’t and making good money from this.

Bad decision from Empire Direct - only half decent thing is they have given 1 weeks notice rather than stop it immediately like some merchants. Maybe they will change it back after the festive season?
i hate merchants that stop - mess around with there program before xmas.
More and more of a trend over the last couple of years. Alas, it usually translates as “We’ve hired an overpriced and underqualified PPC agency who bill a % of what they spend for us on AdWords”.
Thats pretty cheap. but I just got a worse email where a company were ‘pausing’ there campaign until after christmas. cheap buggers - the biggest sales period lets stop paying people for the sales they generate…
