Their T&Cs say you can’t do it.

Oops.

Wonder if they’ll sue me? Come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough, Telegraph lawyers!*

Apparently you’re not allowed to ” modify or attempt to modify all or any part of the Content or the Site” either. I guess they’re going to be taking legal action against people who comment on their stories too?

Just when it was beginning to seem like newspapers are getting a handle on new media…tsk.

I just don’t understand why anyone would not want you to deeplink.

Some advertisers in affiliate networks do it as well. Is there a specific reason?
Or is it just them thinking that their homepage is the bomb diggity?

They fixed this after I first twittered about it: http://www.malcolmcoles.co.uk/blog/newspapers-no-linking-to-us/

But they’re not the only ones – here’s a big list I made as a follow up: http://www.malcolmcoles.co.uk/blog/dont-link-to-us-part-two/
