UKTV recently rebranded itself as Dave TV which is kind of funny having a TV channel named after you, what wasn’t funny was over the last few weeks I have been trying to break into the top 10 in Google UK for the keyword Dave and now just as i was climbing the rankings Dave TV has forced me down 2 places !!
By the way is this “Dave” rankings test has been all on page stuff ! I THOUGHT ” How cool if people asked how to find you, and you say just type dave into google and I’m the first Dave .. hehe ”

Still its a great channel, Alan Partridge and Red Dwarf = TV Greatness
Curious, I searched here (USA - NJ to be exact) for [dave] and you are ranked 37th. Dave TV is 31st. I guess “searching the web” still does some personalization for people in the UK, though I thought it would only do it if you were searching UK pages.
Searching the web always does personalisation, based on your IP. Here in Bulgaria it is quite visible as local sites rank top for VERY compatitive queries for which they will be nowhere if searching from another location.
Ha! Now you know how I feel having an internet channel named after me!

It would be even better if someone said, “Hey Dave how can I find you?” and you responded with “Type Dave into Google, then hit ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’!”

I compete with the Tokyo Stock Exchange in ranking for Nikke. Right now the I’m feeling lucky works fine from most non-Asian regions.
