Crocs Shoes Comfortable or Not

Ok the Owner of Croc Fans has laid down a challenge to me …

Dave, as the owner of the Unofficial Crocs Shoes Fan site in the US, I am willing to send you a pair of free Crocs in the size/color of your choice. If after a week you agree they are the most comfortable pair of shoes you have ever worn then you must agree to send us a picture of you sporting your new Crocs for our website and the rest of the world to see! :-) Up to the challenge?

I’m sporting a pair of Josef Seibel’s Shoes at the moment they will take some beating..

So what should i do .. Free Pair of Croc’s Size 11 (added: That’s a UK Size 11 - thanks Simon) ;) I guess in Manly Black Lol … if I do lose croc fans get a picture of me sporting the Croc Shoes at home, in the pub and at a conference and a side bar link .. btw Do you wear socks with these, i know what my wife would say lol

This is hilarious Dave.. Do it! They can’t be that comfortable. At least they don’t look like it. If they suck, then you can send them to me and I’ll find a Crocodile to feed them to and you can post that video on the web!

Hmm, maybe this will become your Rand Fishkin-like trademark?

(BTW, you should probably specify whether that 11 is UK or you’ve already converted it to US for them)

Don’t wear socks - the thing about crocs is after a long day, the shoes stink like sandals. BTW, they are the most comfortable!
    See ya over at WW.

I mean they DON’T stink after a long day!

Wouldn’t you just murder for a fan site like that!

    Dave,
I wear them all the time and they honestly are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I kick up the ugly factor to 11 and wear socks with mine all winter. I have to say, even the homeless crackheads in London were looking at me like I was from Mars when I was walking around in my bright orange crocs, but hey…fuck them.

My husband and kids swear by their crocs. They’re just not attractive enough for me to wear, but for comfort they say they can’t be beat.

I know people here (Yosemite National Park, in the US) who wear them for long hiking days. They are the new Teva, as it were - the hip in shoe among the outdoor crowd. I have to admit that even though they’re the wrong size, I still end up stealing my wife’s from time to time. Also, they’re so light, a lot of people take them backpacking as camp shoes or for creek crossings.

Definitely accept the free pair. Doesn’t seem to be a downside.

PS - socks optional. In cold weather, yes. In warm weather no. These are basically foam rubber Birkenstocks

Dave, got a few mates who wear these - mostly chefs, who wear them in the kitchen. They swear by them as comfy as fook etc but would not be seen dead in them out and about. You can apparently get stuff to decorate them too.

Get the Mickey Mouse ones… funnily enough, I just bought myself the Mickey Mouse Crocs today, and thought of you when I got them ;)

  12. 12. algoholic | April 25th 2007 @ 3:00 pm

    @ home only…

They are more the comfortable for investors… check the last 2yr graph: http://urltea.com/fkd

  13. 13. Danglelow | April 25th 2007 @ 3:18 pm

I have heard that these are pretty comfortable…

Just to have a rant….we phoned up them about getting them on our site and they turned out to be one of the most up their own ass arrogant companies that we have ever talked to! I guess we’ll see soon enough if the product will stand up to the test of time…

Isn’t that fan site breaking the new TOS in regards to images placed near Adsense ads? ;)

So does this mean you have officially accepted the “Crocs” challenge? Email me your address and I will have a brand new pair of Black Crocs size 11 sent out to you by this weekend.

Or if you would rather, I could send a pair of Mickey Mouse Crocs so you and Jenstar can match at the next conference. Your call. Same comfort either way.

Be thankful I didn’t offer to send a pair of Sassari Crocs!

    Dear Dave,
I have been advised by my orthopedic surgeon to start wearing Croc shoes as I have stage 4 arthritis in both knees and am currently on a NHS waiting list for both knees to be replaced. I also had bunion removal surgery in 2001 and although my feet are free of bunions, the arch support of my feet has changed and shoes in general are uncomfortable. I am willing to try Crocs and if they help me with my painful knees, I will not only send you pictures of me wearing the Crocs, I will tell everyone about the great benefits of wearing Crocs!!!! Please send me a pair of brown/tan crocs size 8 UK, size 10 USA.
Thank you and hoping to hear from you soon.

Hello, I am an ex-nurse, and after years of plodding up and down wards, these shoes may be the answer to my prayers.
If these great shoes do the job, I will take the challenge, and recommend them to my nursing colleagues here in the UK.
I’d love to try them, and I would like a brown/tan pair in size 8UK.
Of course I will send a photo of me wearing them.
Hoping to hear from you soon,
Regards, Heather Russell-Long, Ipswich, Suffolk. UK

Try your crocs with a sock on one foot and the other bare. In hot humid houston I prefer them with socks. Without socks it feels sweaty. Have only had mine 2 days but I went to the zoo to give them a work out. They seem not quite so ugly after you have had them on awhile. I wonder how they got so popular, I have never seen any advertising. I found out about them when everyone was wearing them on the morning stock show one day. Would like to know how others heard about them.

HI EVERYONE, I WAS SUFFERING WITH PLANTER FACITIS AND FOUND IT REALLY PAINFULL TO PUT MY HEAL DOWN, MAKING IT UNBEARABLE TO WALK ON. I WAS TOLD TO TRY A PAIR OF CROCS SO I ORDERED A BLACK PAIR, WHEN I FIRST HAD THEM I THOUGHT NO WAY AM I WEARING THESE PLUS THEY SEEMED TOO BIG FOR MY FEET, HOWEVER I WORE THEM AROUND THE HOUSE WITH LABELS STILL ATTACHED THINKING I WOULD BE SENDING THEM BACK. THIS WENT ON FOR A WHOLE WEEK. A COMMENT FROM MY HUSBAND (WELL ARE YOU KEEPING THEM), MADE ME REALISE YES I WAS MY FEET WERE A LOT BETTER SO I CUT OFF THE LABELS. THAT WAS MAY IT IS NOW AUGUST AND I WEAR THEM EVERYWHERE TOOK THEM TO CRETE ON HOLS IN MIDDLE OF HEATWAVE, I NEEDN,T HAVE PACKED ANY OTHER SHOES. WORE THEM ALL THE TIME EVEN IN THE SEA. SO YOU CAN SAFELY SAY I WOULD RECOMEND THEM. MY HUSBAND BOUGHT A PAIR AS WELL AND HE TO WORE THEM ALL THROUGH HOLIDAY, AND WEARS THEM AT HOME.

Can anyone answer my question, maybe the guy who runs the Crocs website. I agree that my first pair of Crocs (flip flops) were the most comfortable shoes ever. I went and even bought more. However, the first pair I bought were made in Colorado (bought in Hawaii) and the subsequent pairs are made in China (bought in Dallas) and are really uncomfortable. They must have changed the formula! I have asked Crocs corporate and have yet to get a response. Does anyone have a reponse to this? They are not knock offs, or else Dillard’s dept. store is in big trouble for selling them. Thanks.

Hey I would love to take part too! Think Crocs are the best!
